Ikebana "Freestyle"

I love to practice ikebana flower arrangement and studied a few books but no formal training.  I had an instructor in Hawaii that taught me several lessons.  When I moved the flower(s) off the stated no. set we were learning, she said..."freestyle"  I quickly learned I was a freestyle arranger versus a no. set follower.  Anyway I appreciated her and freestyle.
