Tokyo Thursday

Touring downtown Tokyo was at times a hectic adventure.  Rush hour, lunch hour and the coordination
of street lights, automatic doors and turnstiles create a rhythm to the chaos that you need to join or be
pushed out of the way.  At night Tokyo turns into a different city with busy areas lit up with lights and
people with handbills trying to get you into their bar, cafe or restaurant with menus and discount coupons.

Also ubiquitous to Tokyo and the train stations are the vending machines.  With every type of tea,
turbo water and varieties of coffee drinks in a can.  And yes the coffee and tea can be hot from the
machine.  Brightly lit, clean and easy to understand.  Accepting bills and coins its an easy way to
keep on the go.  Harder to find are trash cans to dispose of your empties.
