Steven S. Sakata

Steven was born and raised in Moanalua Honolulu, Hawaii.  He attended Island Paradise school, a small private school on Piikoi St.  He then attended Damien Memorial High School, a Catholic all boys school in Kalihi.  He then graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BBA in Management Information Systems.
 

Steven left Hawaii for assignments with IBM in Irvine, California and Boston, Cambridge, Massachusetts working with large research universities including; UCLA, USC, Harvard, MIT and Boston University.

After nine years, in 2008, Steven moved back to Hawaii as the IBM Hawaii sales manager.  He loved his time on the mainland and is looking forward to growing Hawaii's technology competitiveness.

In his free time Steve spends time with his dear Meuy "May" nicknamed Yum.   

Steve also loves photography, biking, the ocean, ikebana and gardens.
